Open Days at Bánffy Castle
As part of the ARTEC project, on 30 April Bánffy Castle opened its gates for a day, joining in the celebration of heritage initiated in 1983 by ICOMOS and UNESCO by launching the International Day for Monuments and Sites.
The courtyard facade of the main, residential building housed an exhibition set up in its 21 windows. The exhibition thus contained 21 works of art, representing reflections on our 21 centuries, created, by art students at the Cluj University of Art and Design, under the guidance of lecturer KALLÓ Angéla. Thus, through this act the castle was turned inside out, the past became, through reflection and reinterpretation, present and current, framed by the heritage of the past.
