The discussion was moderated by: HEGEDÜS Csilla, president, Transylvania Trust, and GUTTMANN Szabolcs, architect.

During the afternoon the Castle opened its doors to visitors for the event named Bánffy Days, with a varied cultural programme:

From 14.00 visitors could learn more about the Bánffy family and the Castle’s history through guided tours offered in Hungarian and Romanian.

At 15.30 the audience was invited to a meeting with the members of the Bánffy family and translators, where fragments of short stories written by Miklós Bánffy and translated into Romanian within a translation workshop organised in September were read.

At 17.00 the art exhibitions composed of the works of art created during the OR and IF artistic residencies were opened, as well as works created during the artistic residency (2017) in Câmpulung. At the same time, an exhibition featuring the covers of the Tribuna magazine from Cluj was also opened.

At 19.00, the day ended with a unique theatre show entitled His(s)tory, a play combining classic theatre and performance art about Miklós Bánffy’s complex personality, accompanied with live music and a special lighting installation. “The interactive show focused on the main moments of the count’s life during 50 minutes. It is a walk through history, through the tragic life of a man who always tried to do good. A show about politics, love, opera music, burning books, communists, and Nazis. A story about the principles that saved a city, but ruined a castle and a destiny.”
